A couple of my all-time favourite sci-fi reads that have stuck with me over the years.

Foundation

Can Hari Seldon convince Cleon of Empire's impending doom through mathematics and prediction? Another immense collection of books spanning the length of many characters lives. A true masterpiece in storytelling at a galactic scale. My favourite book series of all time and another true hard scifi universe.

2001: A Space Odyssey

Giant rectangles of inspiration and visual confusion? Sign me up...A great companion book to my favourite film of all time. A story of human advancement and relentless curiosity pushing us further than ever. A real must read for anyone who's into hard scifi in my opinion. (the film is great too if you're willing to sit through the first 45 mins of non-verbal!)
